A new Mac version automatically appears in Add Agents options and in the Agent Versions section of the Management Console. We recommend deploying a new version to a test device before deploying it across the network. 

Overview

This release covers enhancements and Improvements for the following products and builds:

  • Veriato Cerebral build 9.0.10655

Recording Updates (Browser, Chat, Email)

  • Added support for Mac OS 13 Ventura.
  • Added support for Apple Safari 16.1.
  • Added support for Microsoft Edge 107.0.1418.42.
  • Added support for Google Chrome 107.0.5304.
  • Added support for Mozilla Firefox ESR 102.4.0.
  • Added support for Apple Mail 14.0.

Enhancements

  • Installs - Applies the necessary Security & Privacy permissions in Big Sur and higher OS systems.
  • Updates/Installs - Cerebral 9.3 with the latest installer bootstrap now delivers an install with retry logic in case of transient failures.
  • Website blocking - We have extended URL blocking by recording policy to the Firefox browser extension.
  • Browser extensions - Added automatic re-enabling of the Firefox extension if disabled by the Mac user.

Improvements

  1. Internal: Isolated a potential internal memory leak and updated code for best practices.
  2. When to Record – The Agent stops and starts recording as directed by the policy setting.
  3. Chat/IM – Facebook messages are now captured by all browser extensions.
  4. Chat/IM - Messages captured in Google Hangouts are no longer duplicated.
  5. Downloads - Downloads from Hangouts chat in Safari are now captured.
  6. Document Tracking - Events now return the correct Device Type entry.
  7. OneDrive - Cloud storage activity is captured and returned.
  8. Webmail - Email events will no longer be duplicated for email providers that have a "Conversations" reading mode for emails.
  9. Webmail – Recorded events will consistently return the Webmail Host entry.
  10. Webmail - Chrome webmail events are now captured consistently.
  11. Webmail – Outlook.com emails are now captured in Safari.
  12. Webmail - Office 365 events are consistently recorded.
  13. Webmail– Gmail is consistently recorded and contains the sender entry.
  14. Webmail - Yahoo email in Safari is captured consistently and returns the correct field entries.
