For detailed instructions on using your Avast product version, refer to the Official Avast Support site. Set global exceptions to exclude Veriato folders and files from all scans.
- Create a folder for downloading the agent installer.
For example, C:\VeriatoInstall. Do this to ensure the downloaded agent file will not be quarantined. - Open Avast Antivirus.
Select Menu at the top of the window and Settings from the opened menu. - From the Settings left menu, select General > Exceptions.
Add a folder path from the list below. You will enter each one at a time. Avast recognizes your entry as a file path, a folder path, or a URL.
Press Add Exception. The folder is added to your list of Exceptions. - Enter the following folder exclusions.
Include the installation folder you created (VeriatoInstall).

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\winipdat
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\winipdat
C:\Windows\System32\winipdat
C:\Windows\winipbin-install
C:\Windows\winipbin - Enter the following file exclusions.
These may not be necessary but will ensure no interference with the agent.

C:\Windows\winipbin\wlcnthr.exe - Download the Veriato Windows Agent.
Save it in the install folder you created. - Double-click the downloaded .exe or .msi file.
The silent installation runs and restarts the computer when finished.
