Cerebral will back up your SQL Server database instance automatically.
- A Differential backup job runs every night
- Full backup job runs once a week on Sunday night
You can run a backup at any time from the Management Console. Restoring a system backup replaces the entire system configuration and database with a previous snapshot, whereas restoring a Differential or Full Backup replaces only the database.
For security and space management, you should store your backups off the server computer.
NOTE: Do not attempt to back up data using SQL Server tools. The database is based on product version and update, and important information will be missing from your backup.
