This article provides step-by-step instructions for configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) with SAML using Okta identity provider for Veriato.
Veriato Application Setup in OneLogin
Step 1: Access OneLogin Portal
- Open https://www.onelogin.com.
Step 2: Register an Application
- Navigate to Applications.
- Click “Add App".
- Search for "Custom Connect".
- Click on “SAML Custom Connector (Advanced)” option.
- Enter a unique application name.
- Click on "Save".
Upon creation, you will be redirected to the SAML Custom Connector (Advanced) option Page.
Configuring SAML-Based Single Sign-On
Step 1: Initiate SAML Configuration
- Access the SAML Custom Connector (Advanced) option page.
- Click on the Configuration option.
Step 2: Configure Basic SAML Settings
- Open a new tab and log in to the Veriato Portal.
Note: The Veriato and OneLogin portal Email ID need to match.
2. Navigate to Admin > Login & Access Control > SSO/SAML Configuration.
3. Click on Service Provider Information.
Step 3: Map SAML Configuration Values
- Copy Audience (Entity ID) from Veriato and paste it into Identifier (Entity ID) in OneLogin.
- Copy ACS (Consumer) URL Validator from Veriato and paste it into ACS (Consumer) URL Validator in OneLogin.
- Copy ACS (Consumer) URL from Veriato and paste it into ACS (Consumer) URL in OneLogin.
- Click Save to apply changes.
Configuring Identity Provider (IdP) in Veriato
Step 1: Configure Identity Provider in Veriato
- In the Veriato Portal, navigate to Login & Access Control > SAML/SSO Tab > Identity Provider Information.
Step 2: Input Identity Provider Details
- Switch to OneLogin Portal.
- Select the SSO tab.
- Copy the following values from OneLogin and paste them into Veriato:
- Issuer URL → OneLogin Identifier
- SAML 2.0 Endpoint (HTTP) → Login URL
- X.509 Certificate → Select SAML Signature Algorithm – SHA-256, Click on View Details, copy the contents, and paste into X.509 Certificate.
4. Click Save to finalize the integration.
5. When completed, enable the switch.
Assigning Users for Access Control
Step 1: Assign Users in OneLogin
- Navigate to Users page in OneLogin Portal.
- Click on New User.
- Add the new user with all their details.
- Click on the added User.
- Under the "Applications" section, click "Add App" and select the application added earlier.
- Click on "Continue".
- Click on "Save".
Verify Single Sign-On (SSO) from OneLogin Portal
- After the Application is assigned to the user, login into the OneLogin individual user’s account.
- On the dashboard, the Veriato Application displays.
- Click on Veriato Application, and it redirects to the Veriato portal and auto logins into the Veriato account.
Note: After enabling SSO, a user cannot log into the Veriato portal using the User Name and Password.
How to Disable SSO (Single Sign-On)
