A System Health Alert watches disk space at the server and sends an alert when the disk is at 15% (or 5% for very large disk volumes) or closer to being full. Users of SQL Express receive an alert of the database (max size allowed on SQL Express is 9.6 GB) is 15% closer to being full. The alert is sent automatically to any “operator” listed in Server Settings in the Management Console.
